Mystifying notes to self that are too vague / context-free / illegible to reconstruct what you actually wanted to remember

I neglected to write down lyric examples and now have no idea where I was going with this:

That did not help explain it.

I still have no idea wtf this means.

Most of mine are inexplicable because they're things I dream and wake up laughing about and write down and then can't make heads or tails of after the fact.

On my PC - in something like e:\ddrivebackup\edrive\ - I have a text file that reads "do your drunk act / the mechanism does not know".

I have no idea what it means. But it haunts me. The mechanism does not know. Are we the mechanism? Do I know? What?

I started taking post-it notes to bed to 'write down my dreams'. I didn't get very far but woke up one morning to see I'd written 'yellow rectangle'.

D'oh! I suppose we should constrain this thread to entries that you understand but are missing some needed elaboration.
For example, I understand this note, but not why it's in my shopping list:

Have you ever probed the roof of your mouth with your tongue and thought you burned it because it was oddly insensate, but then you realize you did not burn it at all, there was a piece of human skin adhered to the roof of your mouth?

Shark House makes a lot of sense actually...
