"The joyous celebration of diversity and longing for absolute equality that we are all encouraged to share is against human nature."

"The Daily Telegraph, showing its usual cowardice when the politically correct classes are challenged", or something to that effect.
Gawd, Robert Henderson ... Stevo, haven't you had a run-in with him on Usenet?

* not a misspelling -- ask Bill Rehnquist, Tony Scalia, or Uncle Thomas.

For those not familiar with him Robert Henderson is a paranoid ultra- right wing crank whose article in Wisden Cricket Monthly ‘Is it in the Blood?’ questioning non-white English cricketers commitment saw the magazine successfully sued for liable.
I won’t easily forget his description of meeting Ian Duncan-Smith when being investigated by the police following a string of ‘abusive’ letters sent to Tony and Cheri Blair. Henderson met IDS at the Commons but described the MP as appearing uncomfortable, sweating profusely and visibly nervous. Within minutes IDS suddenly claimed he had to leave on ‘urgent’ constituency business ‘could they arrange another meeting some other time etc’. Naturally Henderson never received any more replies, all of which he took as proof IDS wasn’t fit to lead the Tories!

on the other hand, Mr. Chomsky (and probably Mr. Vidal these days) are properly seen as left-libertarians. then there's the issue of the Wobblies (Industrial Workers of the World), for the history buffs amongst us. mark s. correct about the NRA, of course.

(I could include long rants on pre-New Deal jurisprudence, but that would bore and confound everyone [esp. non-Yanks] so I'll shut up now unless prompted to speak more re this :-)
'We should take the BBC permanently off air. I accept that it has existed long enough and been prominent enough to qualify as an historic institution. I also accept that, bias aside, it probably is the best broadcasting organisation in the world. But I see no alternative to shutting it down.' (How To Destroy The Enemy Class)
He can't resist a touch of kneejerk nationalist pride in an institution he nevertheless has to hate because it's run by liberals.

i’m sure it’s par for the course but just the relentlessness of it is impressive. constant invocations of ‘we the people’, the UN, soros, etc. he seems to have become radicalized around the time obama was elected, wonder why
also the guy died in january, not long after praising the power of ivermectin
