New Year Resolutions: how are they going?

It's a week into the New Year (202 according to a bloke outside the pub on Friday who asked if we had 'given up charlie yet'), has your resolve crumbled? I have given up booze for January which has so far been a breeze (not a Sea Breeze, num num) despite Pete's claim that people who don't drink are not interesting. Anyway did you actually bother with resolutions and have you kept them?

Yawn.

I am being (slightly) misquoted. But certainly my sort of resolution to write more stuff for Freaky Trigger has been kept up. Just look, there's an all new Pop-Eye. (And the publog has come back to life).

Sorry, Tom, is your resolution to be rude to people with more WILL POWER than you?

Well I probably said something about giving up smoking but that lasted about 30 seconds after the countdown.

I think one was also to not leave assigments till the day they're due, and I'm currently doing one now which was due at 12 today. oh dear.

I haven't had a cigarette now since the seventeenth of December. But I have eaten meat twice this year so far...oops.

It is very hard to maintain the moral high ground with HATERS like Mr Ewing around.

Whenever I explain that I am not drinking bouze but am still smoking I get looks of great disapproval. I'm only human, goddammit!

I have forsworn all booze while I diet & exercise. I have done this for 7 whole days now. It seems to go well. But, of course, I have decided to follow Barry Davies's SAS Fitness regime, so I should get fit in about 2-5 months.

Had a half-dozen resolutions (exercise, diary-keeping, large-art- project-making, book-reading), and so far I seem to be sticking to all of them. Hooray.

I think my resolutions are going okay...I can't remember what they were...I know I posted them here...but I can't recall.

people who don't drink are not boring. people who don't go out are boring.

So far, I've done pretty well as far as my New Year Resolutions are concerned:
1. NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THE GOOD MIXER AGAIN EVER: 100% successful
2. TO GAIN SOME WEIGHT: I guess this isn't a particularly common New Year Resolution. I think I'm about one and a half stone underweight. I'd like to gain a stone. I'm aiming for half a stone. I've been eating more CHIPS than usual = a good start
3. TO HAVE PROPER CONVERSATIONS WITH PEOPLE (IE: ABOUT THINGS OTHER THAN THE LATEST S CLUB 7 SINGLE): Went to the PUB with a friend of mine today and talked for HOURS about REAL THINGS!
