For me, it's between the EV1, the Aztek, and the Peel Trident.

You see I can't say that that's the worst car - it might be one of the ugliest but it works fine. Friends had one for a couple of years and it never went wrong, was nice to drive and had many cup holders, which is important.

Surely the worst car has to be one that doesn't really work as a car. Or possibly something like the Lamborghini there which is like "that's a Lamborghini - noooooo!!!".

I thought I remember seeing some SUV/station wagon thing that's coming out in the near future with a rear window that's wrapped around one side as well? Did I just dream that?

A business case is not the same as wisdom. Certainly, Jaguar needed an entry-luxury model to compete against the BMW 3-series and Mercedes-Benz C-class. Yes, the company, owned by Ford, had access to a very successful world car platform, the Mondeo, which Americans knew as the Ford Contour. There was money to be saved. But in its attempt to turn the front-drive compact car into an "all-wheel drive" sports sedan, Jaguar ran smack into the limits of platform engineering. The result was the English version of the Cadillac Cimarron, a tarted-up insult to a once-proud marque and a financial disaster for the company. It hardly matters that the X-Type was not that bad a car. Young affluent buyers had the feeling they were somehow being grifted. They were.

A bad car:

1) does not go, or
2) bits fall off, or bits do not work.
3) noisy/leaky/guzzly.

If it goes, and all parts work, it's an OK car.

A really bad car burns you alive before you can even open the door and run. They are not unheard of.

That'd go in the 'guzzly' category.

And a really REALLY bad car insults your mother, violates your girlfriend, pees on your rug, kidnaps your pet, and THEN burns you alive. But if you bought that car, it's really your own stupid fault.

LOL the orientation of the Cube's rear window depends on which side the steering wheel sits. Both pics up there are non-US it appears.

Which is weird because apparently it only looks like a continuous window from the outside; on the inside there is a standard segment breaking up the flow of the window, so it's not like you'd have better sight lines anyways.

How could Time hate the De Lorean DMC-12? Don't they know it's a TIME MACHINE? And the gull wing doors are awesome.

Is Time retroactively blaming the Model-T for global warming etc. now? Isn't that sorta like blaming the dudes who built the first Colossus computers for spam email?

i am going to vote for the pacer as a stand-in for the PT cruiser, because the PT cruiser is basically the bigger stupider brother of the pacer. with wood paneling. which sucks.
