― Rob Liefeld pose (chap), Thursday, 7 October 2010 13:51 (fourteen years ago) link
Agreed. He's just a lil dude making harmless music for adoring tweens. No different from countless other Tiger Beat cover kids over the last 40 years.

I did think it was weird that I was helping a student (in her early 20s), and she had a giant picture of Justin Bieber as the wallpaper on her laptop. Not infuriating though, just odd.

How supposedly-talentless people have more public attention than supposedly-talented people. It's been this way since media has existed, and it probably won't change anytime soon.
― delicious demonym (corey), Thursday, 7 October 2010 14:14 (fourteen years ago) link
So I guess that's not so irrational.
Oh god, when I was working over the summer these two dull old cunts would have a dull old conversation bemoaning just that EVERY fucking lunch time in the staffroom, so loudly and droaningly that it would completely dominate the atmosphere and make any kind of fun banter impossible. Infuriating.

They'd make a few fairish points, but it was all just so tedious. And they wouldn't make them just the once, oh no.

perfect opportunity to start defending kim k and the like on spurious grounds, "she brings light relief to the world!". anything to stop that pompous monolithic shit taking over. more fun for you to attack them as it doesn't really matter as much to you, easy to get them all tangled up in spluttering righteousness. a bit of faux naifiness in the workplace is always a lol

I tended to just retreat to the staff kitchen where the girls where hiding and bitch about the students with them, TBH, way more fun.

i work in a big ass office building, there's a coffee shop inside it. the coffee shop has a chalk board and they ask dippy questions and people can write their responses (fall tv, mother's day, the olympics, whatever. basic chit chat shit)
i've noticed that if people like or agree with something already written, there will be a cluster of "+1" or "like" chalked around it.
so IA.
