i've liked some of her music in the past, but the new one is much more surprising and fleshed out than anything she's released before

welp imo they put the best tracks out as pre-release songs, but it doesn't matter because the chanel beads album still delivers. very hazy, pleasantly druggy vibe. weird songs... they'll have these huge choruses, but it'll only hit once during the song's runtime. kind of that wire pink flag ethos of "you get the idea so we'll just stop here." short album too; 9 songs, 28 mins. very solid 4 mics.

Fluke are back with new single Insanely Beautiful and this is the pick of the mixes for me, adding vocals from Leah Clever and bringing a more menacing, trip hop vibe to proceedings

idk where else to post -and it's too early for me to suss out a highlight- but the fabiana palladino album is damn good.

digging the 'heart racers' ep by kanii, riovaz, and nimstarr. they're all producers and vocalists so idk who is responsible for what, but the ep is a great bit of late night pop. feels very anti-trend in the underground, but i can't get enough of the keyboard sounds.

90s revival continues and okay kaya has wandered into that 120 minutes-curated sound of allegorical triphop-soundtracked worlds originally pointed+laughed at by heroes like luscious jackson or the "my woman" bloke. i intentionally did not post the proper music video for two reasons: it's full of, uhm, weird imagery and it's possibly nsfw. so yeah.

whatever the hell it is, it's been on repeat for the past 20 minutes.
