Nice. I'm feeling some of that as well and I didn't even go to the rave, just hosted a few younger friends in town for a night out. Going to an outdoor event in a couple weeks though, and also have an idea for a locked groove-style techno record after messing around with some old gear.

for sure, definitely less nu-bass rhythmic architecture to that album than what's often in this thread, but didn't MESH coin the "deconstructed club" term? to no small or necessarily underserved amount of derision?

i feel like i like the illbient revival more then the original moment, lol. it's been going strong with labels like 29 speedway and deleted, although more of an illbient / trip hop / pop-ambient texture and sensibilities for the latter

I didn't meant that pejoratively, I'm here for it! Add some menace back to downtempo. I love the title track and 'Anticrime'.

A couple tracks really remind me of what Lorn and Eskmo were doing in the early '10s, but I was obsessed with all of that, so there's another layer of weird nostalgia.

(I don't think he was the one that coined the term btw, but he def made some of the best tracks)
