Locrian appreciation thread

Other than a thread fulla dead photo links over on I Love Vinyl, I was surprised that we didn't have a thread for Locrian, the experimental/drone/metal(ish) band from Chicago. I remember some positive feelings towards previous albums, not sure if any others fans still hang around.

Anyway, the new one, End Terrain, is fantastic and among my favorites they've done yet. https://locrian.bandcamp.com/album/end-terrain

Also, I like the Dhalgren inspired shirt they've got up on their merch page.

I haven't really heard enough of their solo stuff, I definitely need to do that.

And don't sleep on the split they did with my friends in Century Plants or the collab they did with my friend Christoph Heemann. What can I say, I have some cool friends.

Steven Hess has done tons of cool stuff with other people and solo.

I haven't heard the new Locrian though. I will check it out!

it is cool that they made it out of noise land and into metal world and metal labels but i will always have a great fondness for those earlier records especially the stuff on Utech.
