RFI: tribute albums oncherry red/anagram records

the ac/dc and pink floyd tributes are the only ones i've heard. has anyone heard the bowie/u2/def leppard etc and do they measure up i.e steer clear of doing carbon copies of the songs ?

eight months pass...
I've heard the Queen and Van Halen tributes, both of them by metal musicians. While the Queen tribute is pretty funny (especially the Motörhead song), the VH one really sucks, even they fail in the solos...!
