i had no idea there was an album attached to the single until today either.

tremendoid, Monday, 4 August 2008 01:51 (sixteen years ago) link

I vaguely remember the album? Probably from KLA.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 4 August 2008 01:52 (sixteen years ago) link

oops west coast rap all stars.

tremendoid, Monday, 4 August 2008 01:53 (sixteen years ago) link

xp any impressions from it? looks kinda interesting on paper...

Too long ago and far away to say anything about it much. I mostly remember the video from the song itself.

i'm pulling for the goody goodies on this one, could it be Young MC's finest performance? DU and Body & Soul came hard with it too.

Michel'le forever

Euler, Monday, 4 August 2008 16:57 (sixteen years ago) link

i love how eazy just ends up rapping about killing dudes and calling him self the violent hero, fuck the concept

M@tt He1ges0n, Monday, 4 August 2008 20:23 (sixteen years ago) link

yeah pretty obnoxious

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 4 August 2008 20:24 (sixteen years ago) link

but that's Eazy for ya! Had he quit NWA by this time? never understood why his verse was separate from Dre and Ren's.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 4 August 2008 20:25 (sixteen years ago) link

i see it as something of a compromise though, like it was all he could do to NOT make a frontal attack towards the sentiment on display. his verse is pretty defensive 'u don't like the heat, stay out of the kitchen', it's like there's a verse missing where he meant to justify calling himself a violent hero but he couldn't be bothered even half-assedly fitting that in.
