Mull Historical Society - C/D?

Just unsure, really - I really liked their album, but when I saw them live the other week... there just seemed to be something that wasn't quite right, this sense that it should have been enjoyable and yet somehow wasn't... plus which, Colin MacIntyre did come across as something of a nob.

This may well have been because I saw a sixty year old man dancing rather badly and started panicking that I might one day turn into him.

Haven't seen them live but I adore their album and they give impressively good b-side.

I think this was debated before, but I say classic. "Loss" is a fantastic album.

"Loss", to me, is a good, if messy album. Some of it seems a bit pointless, but the guy writes some really good pop tunes. The highlight for me is the rousing brass section in "Only I".

eleven months pass...
I love their eponymous song. I'm still undecided on their first album. I saw them live once and found them entertaining enough. I think that where they really fall down is there's only three of them - with a name like Mull Historical Society there should be loads and loads of them onstage. Then you'd know you were getting value for money.

The verse is 'Shack Up' and the chorus is 'Join Our Club'.

My mum (in her 60s) bought their album but says it's not as good as my latest.
