tough decision
Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful faceDo You Realize - we're floating in space -Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cryDo You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them knowYou realize that life goes fastIt's hard to make the good things lastYou realize the sun doesn't go downIt's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize - Oh - Oh - OhDo You Realize - that everyone you knowSomeday will die -
Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful faceDo You Realize
------------
I don't believe in an interventionist GodBut I know, darling, that you doBut if I did I would kneel down and ask HimNot to intervene when it came to youNot to touch a hair on your headTo leave you as you areAnd if He felt He had to direct youThen direct you into my arms
Into my arms, O LordInto my arms, O LordInto my arms, O LordInto my arms
And I don't believe in the existence of angelsBut looking at you I wonder if that's trueBut if I did I would summon them togetherAnd ask them to watch over youTo each burn a candle for youTo make bright and clear your pathAnd to walk, like Christ, in grace and loveAnd guide you into my arms
And I believe in LoveAnd I know that you do tooAnd I believe in some kind of pathThat we can walk down, me and youSo keep your candlew burningAnd make her journey bright and pureThat she will keep returningAlways and evermore

Thought "Into Your Arms" was going to be the Lemonheads song. Dunno this one.

"Into My Arms" is certainly more romantic. I wouldn't really recommend either, tbh.

I would say that "Do You Realize?" is more like a funeral song.

I'm trying to pick a song for the 'i do moment'
My girlfriend said the same thing about 'Do You Realize', but I love the lyrics and I think of it as something to celebrate life

Do You Realize is a dismal and terrifying song made to seem uplifting by means of subtil trickery.

Went to a schmindie wedding over the summer when 'Do You Realize' was played as part of the ceremony. All it made me think of was the video they projected when they played this live which consisted of a naked lady kick-boxing.

^^Me, performing "Into My Arms" at a wedding.
And another friend actually had Wayne Coyne dedicate "Do You Realize?" to her and her fiancee at a big Flaming Lips concert in Chicago.

It's hard to make the good things last
Wonderful sentiments for a long-lasting marriage. Go for the other one (I thought it was going to be the Lemonheads one as well).

"Into My Arms" was a good one for a wedding in which the participants were not religious but their parents were.

pretty sure Do You Realize was actually written for a Wayne Coyne's recently deceased gramps or something??

"Do You Realize?" neatly summarizes why I've come to hate the F'Lips of the last dozen years.

yes, that's our case. I think my grandpa won't be very happy with the first line of 'Into My Arms'. He's quite upset this won't be a religious wedding.

Good news is old people can only hear lyrics when they are very distinct. Tell DJ to turn up volume just after the first line ;)
