I saw Tevin Campbell in the Broadway production of Hairspray in 2006, playing Seaweed. He was quite good actually.

Used to love Tevin back in the day but only "Can We Talk" has stayed in my head.

I know about the arrest but did he ever make follow-up statements?

I remember reading something a while back but on reflection it was based on quoted "family members" and "close friends" so maybe not so reliable.

remember this fondly, best thing on that Q album iirc; other than going deep on the smooth jazz the track sounds like some of MJ's arrangements from later that decade (down to the children's chorus), and tevin channels young MJ as well as one could hope.
