it happens on Amazon allot. under the "collectable" options for format options. do they just wave a magic wand and it becomes collectable? would that tape even play?

I've seen a CD for 20,000 but I'm pretty sure that was a decimal error when uploaded.
Beware sellers like "any_book." They list a used and new copy of almost any CD upc (and I would guess any book, too) at a completely random ridiculous price. If someone actually buys from them I think they just order the item from another source, then send it, and still make a profit due to the huge listing. Huge as in 40 something and up from what I've seen.
