Man alive this guy sounds good at 8am on a Sunday morning.
Playing St. Marks Epiphany, relentless drumming while managing not to be physically overwhelming somehow: that light touch comes through. Everyone else must've been half-droning, half-watching..
The set on Sub-Rosa looks tasty.

Cloud Doctrine has a really great spoken word piece ("Universal Solar Calendar") as well as a lot of other experiments, I like it more than any of the Quarterstick reissues.

Thought I'd put some on after watching Lou Reed and John Cale performances on the NY special on TeeVee last night. Forget him playing for the Velvets (Maureen did a great job) but just how good it would've been to have this guy around to keep Reed and Cale on their toes? Several suicides might've been involved but so fkn what, you know? xp

this Tapes set is amazing, but the tracking doesn't match Discogs and I got very confused last night trying to make sense of what I had ripped.
Hopefully this will get a CD reissue or something, it's long blasted rough-hewn drones and field recordings for the most part.
