The Mother Hips - C or D?

No thread on these earthy San Fran psych rockers? I've seen them three times (twice by accident) and only own one album, but always liked them - they appeal to my Byrds-y sorta left coast leanings, with a lil Neil and a lil Jayhawks too. Probably too granola for ILM, but any fans?

They are very granola, had no idea they were from SF, I always thought they were from Chico or something (3+ hours North-East)?

They are from Chico, but they may be in SF now. Haven't seen them since I was in high school, but they were classic then. I think they'd be a little too crunchy for my tastes at the moment. I seem to recall Hey Emilie as a good track. Used to have that album (Welcome to the Grotto?), but who knows where it's gone to.

this thread sent me to revisit them. they remind me of the tyde and beachwood sparks, a good thing
