Because you people demanded less nish and more clish.
Here's how it works: you can vote for up to 25 tracks, and your ballot must be ordered. 1st place gets 25 and so on down to 1 point for 25th. You can vote for less than 25 Tunes tunes if you must. Send your ballots to noodlevague at g00glem4il dot c0m before 18th June.

NB: Votes for Dust Junkys tracks cannot be accepted, I'll be polling them later on.
You can use this thread to campaign for favourites, remind people of classic lost tracks etc.

Fair enough on saving Dust Junkys for their own well-deserved poll - tbf he was going by "Nicky" then iirc? - but is this to be kept to strictly Tunes tunes, or is 808 State featuring MC Tunes included in this poll's remit?
― all cats are gay (sic), Tuesday, 7 June 2011 07:35 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah will allow anything "featuring MC Tunes" cos it's hard to work out who those records shd be primarily credited to imo, and I don't think the extra tracks will make the poll unmanageable.
― aka best bum of the o_O's (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 June 2011 07:37 (thirteen years ago) link
What a fool I am! it was MC Tunes VERSUS 808 State - first billing gets him counted, IMO. How could I have forgotten:

― aka best bum of the o_O's (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 June 2011 07:57 (thirteen years ago) link
I'm gonna make a bunch of socks so "The Only Rhyme That Bites" wins.
― The Boy Who Can Go Inside The TV (dog latin), Tuesday, 7 June 2011 08:59 (thirteen years ago) link
"The Only Rhyme That Bites" has a great cowboy sample and one of Tunes' best raps but it doesn't have bleep bloops on it nor does it perform the frankly alchemical miracle of having the Stone Roses on something that isn't boring shit.

[edit] Sampling
Fatboy Slim sampled the track "Beatbox Wash" for "Gangster Trippin" on the You've Come a Long Way, Baby album. The single garnered much success. One of Tunes biggest complaints is that he still hasn't been paid for this sample...
[edit] Personal life
Tunes still lives in Manchester.

Are you trying to imply that Tunes edited his own wiki page? Maybe Noodle Vagues could get him to vote in this poll?

I was talking to my mate John Robb the other day who assures me that Tunes has recorded some 'bangin' new material.
Great poll. Possibly the best. And if anyone says otherwise I'm gonna sue them for "liable".
I have the world's best MC Tunes story... just trying to work out what the chances are I'll get sued for "liable" if I recount it here...

can i vote for remixes separately? ie can I vote for The Only Rhyme that Bites and TORTB (Optical remix)? feel like there's some west lothian shit going on regardless of whether you treat them as one or split them up, but can't work it out.
― portrait of velleity (woof), Thursday, 16 June 2011 14:51 (thirteen years ago) link
Nah I'm counting remixes as separate tracks cos the production is such a big element of the Tunes' catalogue.
