The Los Angeles–based startup was founded in 2015 by Australian musicians Josh Simons and Barry Palmer of Hunters & Collectors.[3] According to The Australian Financial Review, the company received seed funding from Nick Feldman of British band Wang Chung.[4] Apple named the app in its "Best of 2017" list.[5]

EVERYBODY SWIPE RIGHT TONIGHT

somehow just heard about this a couple days ago, anyone tried it? I signed up but have never used tinder so am out of sorts, hoping it is better than craigslist at least

have found a handful of lovely people on the craigslist but it's needles in so many haystacks

Once I'm settled in my own flat (hopefully soonish!) I'll probably be looking to form a band. 'Vampr' doesn't feel like how I'll go about it mind

have no idea what the Steely Dan room is or how to access it but it's popping off apparently

how will you go about it imago? do you have an existing network of muso friends?

haven't really messed with Vampr yet because I want to nail down a handful of songs before I bother anyone else about it, but there are people on it, so, who knows

my experience too, but the two or three people i've met have gone on to be some of my best collaborators and good friends as well

also my local musicians craigslist is just full of hilarious stuff, i will never stop visiting.

i don't think i'd have an immediate use for this, but it seems like it could be fun if you wanted to put together like an intermediate jazz trio to play brunch at a brewery or something like that? i feel like most bands i've formed have been with people who are already my friends, although these days 95% of my musical activity is solo project

definitely checking my local craigslist musicians board has become a daily compulsion, will never not be fascinated by it all, even if it's mostly just the same dozen dudes posting the same ad for years and years

and then of course a wild hare appears sometimes and what a treat
