the pastebin can only be updated by seandalai and he's busy so its out of date and id rather not have to repost another full list of nominations which I believe mucks up user searches. So just having both links seems the best option.

Hey Liz! Yeah, you'd have to re-register. I'll be sure to keep an eye out.

Also I saw that this was mentioned on the trans thread, but people might also think "Liz D" refers to Liz Daplyn, who was killed in the London terrorist bombings in 2005. I was not around on ilx when she posted here, so I don't have the right frame of reference to advise you about this, but using that as a display name change could cause some confusion.

I tried undeleting Boring, MD's posts but keep getting poxy fuled. The best I can do is C/P them back into the thread unless there's consensus I should just let it go.

I get the frustration here and absolutely agree that it's the last thing those threads need, but I think it is likely to further inflame bad feeling if the tiny mod team ends up using personal judgement about who's behaving worse or going more off-topic. It absolutely makes sense in the abstract, but it runs the risk of tone-policing if someone with a genuine grievance lashes out: that lashing out would be the thing we see and thread-ban for, and I feel like that wouldn't be the result you were hoping for? It would also set precedent that people petition for thread-bans for posters whose contributions they don't like or find "useless", and how we'd be supposed to exercise reasonable judgement on that, I do not know. If someone is consistently being a dick then FP is there, but smaller instances of dickishness are very tough to moderate with the generally hands-off stance we've been asked for.

(I'm not going to be here for the rest of today, so if there is more discussion about this suggestion, I apologise for not being around to answer.)

I believe there was some beef between the two of you last summer and gyac made the request to keep you from taking the conflict to that particular thread. Some of your posts in the MLB regular season thread were heated enough that it seemed reasonable, though I had misgivings. (almost entirely summed up by emil.y's OTM post this morning)

You should probably also mention the context of me being followed to another thread on ILBB (the 2023 Red Sox thread) to start a fight and being threadbanned from that one too.

Xxp thanks for the explanation. I disagree with that move on principle. I've made 5096 posts here. Maybe 20 of them have engaged gyac, but with nothing as despicable as "joking" her husband should divorce her, something she thought was appropriate to post in relation to me. Being threadbanned from a thread she's made where I've posted previously without engaging her... I dont know, it just feels like an unprincipled half-measure? The connection just feels tenuous; would not say the same if it was a thread where I've engaged with her negatively.
