"The Strangers" - claustrophobic no hope in sight movie about random masked people terrifying and injuring a couple for no apparent reason
their summary: In this heart-pounding thriller, young suburban couple James (Scott Speedman) and Kristen (Liv Tyler) welcome the peace and quiet of a secluded family vacation home -- that is, until three masked home invaders make them realize how dangerous isolation can be. Written and directed by Bryan Bertino, the film also stars Australian supermodel Gemma Ward, Kip Weeks, Glenn Howerton and Laura Margolis.
"The Last Days"
their summary: Directed by James Moll and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, this powerful, Oscar-winning documentary recounts the harrowing stories of five Hungarian Jews who endured the horrors of the holocaust and the reign of Adolf Hitler. In addition to the testimonials of the Hungarian subjects, this heart-wrenching film also features accounts from U.S. soldiers who participated in the liberation of 1945.
"When We Were Kings"
their summary: Legendary boxers Muhammad Ali and George Foreman travel to Zaire for the 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" heavyweight title bout in director Leon Gast's Oscar-winning documentary. At the time, Foreman was world champion, and Ali was supposedly past his prime. Financial and legal issues shelved the film for two decades, but this glimpse of Ali in the years after his moral opposition to U.S. military service showcases a sporting and cultural milestone.
