Brad Lidge: Lidge earns 10th save for Phillies
Brad Lidge - R - PHI - Jul. 26 - 4:25 pm et

Brad Lidge picked up his 10th save Monday despite allowing a two-run homer in the top of the ninth against the Rockies.
Lidge gave up a leadoff double to Miguel Olivo and a two-out homer to Seth Smith, cutting Philadelphia's lead from three to one. That wasn't the end of it, either. Jonathan Herrera followed with a walk, and Carlos Gonzalez singled. After a wild pitch advanced both runners, Jason Giambi was intentionally walked. That loaded the bases, but Lidge got out of the jam when Ryan Spilborghs grounded one back to the pitcher. He's now converted five straight save chances after blowing two in a row. Since he threw 35 pitches today and also worked an inning yesterday, he'll probably get Tuesday off, which could lead to a save chance for Jose Contreras. Jul. 26 - 4:25 pm et

Did Brad Pitt break naan with Peter Jackson over a zombie movie deal?

As rumours broke yesterday that Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt chowed down on curry and garlic naan with Sir Peter Jackson and friends at a Miramar Indian restaurant on Sunday, we learned the Ocean's Eleven star has bought the film rights to Max Brooks' zombie book World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, beating out Leonardo DiCaprio's company.

Britain's Independent newspaper said Pitt's production company Plan B will adapt the book into a film with Paramount Studios and a summer 2012 release date is expected. It was confirmed last week that Pitt will star in the film, which will chronicle a zombie war through the accounts of the survivors.

Could this be what brought the Hollywood heavyweights together? Is Pitt hoping to sign Jackson in a producing role? Quantum of Solace director Marc Foster is set to direct the project.

Of course, zombies are nothing new for Jackson. His low budget splatter film Braindead is legendary as a zombie comedy horror film classic. And Jackson told TV3's Kate Rodger in December at The Lovely Bones premiere that another zombie movie is "definitely on the list."

Was Jackson referring to Pitt's zombie flick?

While he may be better known for his blockbuster roles, Pitt's no stranger to horror movies either. He appeared in a 1992 episode from the HBO TV series Tales From the Crypt and starred in Interview with the Vampire alongside Tom Cruise.

Jackson has his own connection to Tales From the Crypt. In 1995 he was asked by executive producer Robert Zemeckis to write a draft for a movie version, which was actually made into the feature film The Frighteners.

If Pitt was in New Zealand, his beloved was most definitely not. Yesterday Angelina Jolie was snapped traipsing through New Tokyo International Airport in Narita hand-in-hand with her four eldest children: Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh.

Britain's Mirror newspaper this week reported the couple are planning to adopt another baby, bringing their brood to seven. "We wanted to adopt another baby from Ethiopia, where we adopted Zahara, but the country have clamped down," the Mirror quotes Pitt telling a friend. "It means it is very hard to take babies out of there and to America now, but we are trying for one more baby."
