I Supersize Disaster (noodle vague) wrote this on thread TOP 100 SONGS OF HOPE. on board I Love Music on 06-Sep-200696. Eazy-E - "Gimme That Nutt"

tbh the beat alone is perfect, Eazy is just the big spooge of icing all over the top
― Magic Our Maurice! (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 20 January 2011 00:01 (fourteen years ago) link
anyway, this deserves 2 threads dedicated to it

This is by far the most charming of the insanely filthy eazy moments, even tho it is at the same time totally vile. Still, easier to explain at a party than nobody move

I don't know that it is THAT much more charming than "Still Talkin'"
― Indolence Mission (DJP), Thursday, 20 January 2011 17:27 (fourteen years ago) link
another favorite!
still wrt the sorta bouncy summertime party feel this tends to evoke the sudden stares of lyrical awareness most of the time for the unfamiliar when i throw it on at parties

i mean nothing compared to the reaction that "pulled the panties down and the bitch had a dick" gets but hey

ha I can see that
too many of the songs on the front half of Eazy Duz It signify sonically as "threatening" so I totally see why they wouldn't cause the lyrical "wait what did he just say" reaction you're talking about but I really do privilege a lot of those songs just due to them being a first exposure for me (I still clearly remember my brother's "DO NOT PLAY THIS IN FRONT OF MOM AND DAD" admonishment when he gave me the album, lol)
― Indolence Mission (DJP), Thursday, 20 January 2011 19:05 (fourteen years ago) link
hahaha yer brother OTM there for sure
as a dude who has listened to this song maybe 30 or so times over the last couple of days, and at the risk of being dragged through the streets by angry hip hop loyalists, man is it ever obvious who the ICP were listening to and trying to mimic on the early albums

like "bugz on my nugz" almost seems like a heartfelt tribute to a fallen hero

oh no doubt, I don't even think that's controversial; the argument piles in with whether you think ICP did a good job at taking their inherent weakness (ie, not really being able to rap, like maybe just under America's Got Talent's Rappin' Granny in skillz) and managed to turn them into a compelling reason to listen to them

someday this will be played at your funeral, John (and no, I'm a pretty liberal parent, but the kids aren't going to hear this one from me, lol)
